Metso has secured additional orders to supply crushing, grinding, automation, and pump plant equipment for South32’s Hermosa project, a key critical minerals development in the Patagonia Mountains, Arizona. This marks another step in strengthening Metso’s role in supporting sustainable mining solutions in the U.S. Part of the order was recorded in the third and fourth quarters of 2024, with the remainder set for the first quarter of 2025.
Metso Advanced Equipment for Efficient Operations
Metso’s latest delivery includes:
- Nordberg® HP pebble crusher for efficient ore reduction
- Vertimill® regrind mills for fine grinding
- Courier® on-stream analyzers & PSI® particle size analyzers for real-time process monitoring
- LSA and MSA samplers to enhance mineral recovery
- VF Series vertical froth pumps, MD Series mill discharge pumps, Orion Series slurry pumps, and VS Series sump pumps for effective material handling
